VIRGINIA — Since 2002, Northern Visual Services has
established a reputation for providing first-rate computer and Web-based
services.
Its new owners, Ben Marolt and Dustin Miller, plan to build on that.
"We want to expand big," while continuing to
offer clients timely, cost-effective, quality services, Miller said.
The business, started in Aurora
by Edward Addy and his wife, Rebecca, offers everything from Web site
development, maintenance and management to many other programming needs.
Miller and Marolt, who will run the business out of Biwabik, already have
much experience in the computer service industry.
Miller was one of Northern Visual’s first employees. He also provided his own
computer-based services for a while. Marolt, who met Miller in a computer
class at Mesabi Range Community
& Technical College,
has been programming and working on computers since age 7 and also has
experience in computer repair.
They are excited, they said, to now have their own business "other than
(providing computer and Web services) on the side or as a hobby," Marolt
said.
"Ed built a solid company," he added.
Northern Visual Services provides both static and dynamic Web site design,
development, implementation, and search engine optimization, with projects
ranging from small simple sites to those involving complex interactive data
collection and management.
The business now also offers Web sites for e-commerce. It also maintains Web
sites, including those not built by Northern Visual.
Content management updating — allowing "clients to do some of their own
updating" — is additionally now provided, Marolt said.
Other services include domain name and hosting management as well as custom
computer programming and CD or DVD marketing and training materials, and
computer repair.
The business serves Web clients from anywhere, while its service area for computer
repair is about a 50-mile radius from Biwabik.
Some of Northern Visual’s Web site clients include Mesabi Recreation, Premier
Plastics, and Range Office Supply.
Prospective clients are encouraged to contact the new owners for a
consultation, they said.
Their goal is to offer services "as quickly as possible with the highest
quality product," Marolt said.

Northern Visual Services has undergone a change of ownership. As of
Tuesday June 24th, Dustin Miller and Ben Marolt are the new owners of
Northern Visual Services. Ben and Dustin are both well educated and
experienced professionals that will work diligently to continue this
company's reputation for quality and timely work.
Becky and I would like to thank you for your patronage and your
friendship. After taking some time off Becky and I will be focusing

Here is a little information about the new owners:
Dustin Miller worked for NVS as its first employee and played a key
role in helping to start the company. Before Northern Visual Services
was founded, Dustin provided freelance programming services to clients
such as such as IWantToLearn.Com. After moving on from Northern
Visual, Dustin continued to hone his programming and web design
skills working with WA Fisher and running his own web design
business, Cold Snap Technology.
Ben Marolt has been programming computers since elementary school,
building websites since junior high, and received Computer Science
training at Truman State University in Missouri. Ben also worked with
IWantToLearn.com as a PC repair technician and web programmer, and has
worked as a graphic designer and web programmer with Cold Snap
Technology on various projects, such as the 2007 World Junior Curling
